The guidance of a Real Estate Agent when acquiring a property is essential because they are knowledgeable about the financial, tax, and legal aspects of the real estate market. An experienced Agent will address their clients' doubts and have the necessary knowledge, contacts, and resources to ensure a successful sales transaction.

Who pays the Agent's commission?

In a property transaction, there are generally two Agents involved: one representing the seller and one representing the buyer. Usually, the person selling the property is responsible for paying a commission, typically ranging between 3% and 6% of the sale price, at least in the USA. This means that the buyer does NOT pay the commission and should not worry about it. The payment of the Agents' commission is included in the work performed by the title company.

When you purchase a property through a Real Estate Agent, there is no cost to you. The commission is paid solely by the seller of the property.
